About us
Classroom wisdom meets modern engagement
Welcome to —-! We are a mother-daughter duo on a mission to bring the pure joy of reading back to childhood. After decades of seeing how children thrive when given the space to explore stories without the pressure of grades, we teamed up to build this digital sanctuary for young readers.
The educational expert:
Ms Nina, Curriculum and lead facilitator
With 31 years of experience teaching K-8 and holding full Principals Qualifications, Ms. Nina knows exactly how to guide group dynamics and inspire young minds. She has spent her lifetime in classrooms understanding child development. Now, she curates our reading lists to ensure every fable, fairy tale, and story weaves in language skills and vital life morals in a gentle, engaging way.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
CCFK is 100% hands off for you! Your child just clicks the link and joins the fun. All we ask is that you remain in the house during the session just in case they have a quick tech issue or need a snack. Otherwise, feel free to close the door, head to the kitchen, and enjoy 45 minutes of total peace!
-
Not at all. We are a completely secular program. Our discussions focus entirely on universal, human values- such as kindness, perserverance, and honesty- using classic literature and fables that have been loved by families of all backgrounds for generations. "

You absolutely can- and we highly encourage reading together at home! However, our club offers three unique benefits that a Youtube video or a solo reading session cannot replicate
-A true, Guilt-free parent break: Reading with your child is wonderful, but it requires your time, energy, and constant supervision. Our club is designed to be 100% independent. You get a 45- minute block of uninterrupted time to relax, make dinner, or catch up on work, knowing your child is safe and engaged.
-Led by a 31 year veteran educator and principal: Anyone can read a story, but it takes a trained expert to guide a room of grade 3+ kids through complex themes. My co-founder (a qualified principal) knows exactly how to extract advanced vocabulary, weave in language skills , and facilitate meaningful debates about real - world morals without making it feel like boring schoolwork.
-The power of peer discussion: Kids learn best from other kids. On Youtube, your child is passively staring at a screen. In our live club, they are actively debating, laughing , and sharing viewpoints with a peer group of their own age. They build social confidence and learn to articulate their thoughts in a way that solo reading simply cannot match.

While school read-alouds are wonderful, a standard classroom environment has limits that our virtual club completely overcomes:
-1-on-1 attention vs. a crowded classroom: In a school classroom of 25 to 30 kids, only a few students get a chance to speak before the bell rings Quiet or shy children often get left out. Our groups are strictly capped so that every single child gets focused attention from Ms. Nina + Ms. Rita and has multiple chances to share thier voice in every session.
-Zero academic pressure: At school, reading is tied to report cards, reading levels , and standardized testing. This pressure can cause kids to shut down or view reading as a chore. In our club, there are no grades/ Because it is 100% non-academic, kids feel safe taking creative risks, exploring bigger vocabulary, and sharing unique opinions without the fear of getting a “ wrong answer”.
-Deep character focus: School curricula are packed tight with strict academic milestones. Teachers simply do not have the time to spend 45 minutes unpacking the deep moral dilemmas inside a single fairytale. We have the luxury of time to focus entirely on values like integrity, empathy,a and resilience, connecting to the stories directly to how your child navigates their real life today.
